What makes me, me?

I am a positive, outgoing thinker who likes to push the boundaries of topics and outcomes I can achieve within design. I rely heavily on research into trends and issues that are happening now in order to achieve a concept that will be a valuable asset to our future.

I am also particularly interested in inclusivity/social design as seen in my past project ‘new tip’ where I focused on raising awareness and breaking down social stereotypes of children with Dyslexia being less than their peers in the education system. With all my projects I keep my focus with the user and ensure that I provide true value to the user experience.

Experience

Below can be found a collection of past experience of mine.

Improvement Support Officer

Inverclyde Health & Social Care Partnership (HSCP)

Nov 2023-Present

In my current role I have the opportunity to work as part of a small close-knit team to support improvement across all our Primary Care Services within Inverclyde. This role has allowed me to expand my knowledge of quality improvement frameworks while using my experience as a product designer to use research techniques to identify areas of improvement. I have also been able to be part of the community engagement to raise awareness of our improvement journey and currently write the monthly newsletter which is distributed across the whole Inverclyde HSCP.

Design Intern

NHS Ayrshire & Arran X The Glasgow School of Art

July-Sep 2023

I had the opportunity to intern with NHS Ayrshire & Arran within their Learning disabilities assessment and treatment unit. During my time there, I had the chance to participate in a project which had a focus on patient journeys and experiences in response to the theme ‘Relational Transitions’. Throughout this internship, I undertook co- design and collaborative design processes to create a final artefact for the ward which has been fully informed by the Patients and Staff themselves.

Product Design Intern

Shark/Ninja - Jun-Sep 2022

Last year, I worked as an intern for Shark/Ninja in their London office. During this time, I was exposed to different aspects of the product journey including the testing of a product before heading to final production and how to conduct these tests. In this time I’ve had the opportunity to expand my knowledge of Solidworks and I have been able to take part in the idea generation for the companies 2024 development projects.
